Dr. Jan Holden will describe both spontaneous ADCs and the process of facilitated ADCs, and she will provide resources for further information.
After-Death Communication (ADC) refers to a living person having the experience of communication with a deceased person.
Research shows that many people have had this experience spontaneously, that it occurs in a variety of ways under a variety of circumstances, and that it is a uniquely healing experience. Recently, a psychologist from the Chicago area has developed a counseling procedure to facilitate this experience for the bereaved.
Dr. Holden is a professor of counseling at the University of North Texas and a counselor in private practice in Lewisville.
